My name is Amy and it is French meaning Beloved. My dad liked the name Amy and the Song "Aimee" by Pure Prairie League. So I was basically named after that particular song.
Does cussing count? I also tend to speak my mind and sometimes that is a good thing and sometimes that is a bad thing. I'm also somewhat shy. I only talk to people that I know and when I'm in a room full of people I don't know I tend not to say much but sometimes it all just depends.
"We Belong Together" By Mariah Carey--That is such a beautiful song. "Shut Up" by Black Eyed Peas--Pretty much describes something that I'm now known for saying "Makes Me Wonder" by Maroon 5 "Would" by Alice in Chains "My Give A Damn is Busted" Jo De Mesina.--Sorry, my give a damn is busted
He can count to 100 by 5s. Just ask. "5-10-15-20-" slowly, carefully, all the way to 100.
He can count to 100 by 10s, too, and he'll do that without even being asked.
He'll talk nonstop if his grandmother lets him.
That's Mason Burch, the 5-year-old Greeley boy who saw the tornado damage last week and said, "Can I help them?"
When his mother took him to Windsor last week so they could help with the clean-up, he was told he was too young. That's when the idea of the toys came up.
So the always talkative Mason gathered up three full boxes of his race cars and books and Teddy bears (and his sister's princess castle) and is prepared to "give them to the kids who lost their toys."
His grandmother, Maureen Prince, and mom, Janie Burch, said they are very proud of Mason. On the day of the tornado, he was with his grandmother in Eaton as they listened to the weather reports and storm warnings. "When they talked about tornados coming, we took the dogs and went to the base," Prince said.
Mason and his family live in Greeley, and everyone pretty much agrees that he talks nonstop: "You know that was a big tornado that took the wood off some houses and broke the windows in the cars, and some of the buildings were just wiped out and there were kids' bicycles that were blown away in that big tornado, and if you turned on the TV, you got to see lots of disaster from the tornado and we saw a kid's toy box in a yard and there wasn't any house there and there weren't any toys for the kids..."
HOW YOU CAN HELP
The Weld County Family Child Care Association is in need of toys, outside play equipment, a play kitchen and other playthings for children.
For information about the association or to help, call (970) 330-0280.
When he wasn't talking in the past few days, Mason was gathering up boxes of toys from his room. They will give the toys to the Weld County Family Child Care Association, which is working to help two home child care providers who were tornado victims. They need toys for that, and Mason has stepped forward.
Mason just finished kindergarten at Victory Christian School in Greeley and will be a first-grader next year. His favorite part of school is having fun with his friends, but he'll tell you that he's also smart at math.
And he'll prove it:
"10-20-30-40-...."

Because my first is Amy it's pretty obvious what my nickname is--Amer. But I have two other one's Scooter and Monster Child. Scooter is a nickname I was given by my college computer teacher and Monster Child was given to me by my college English teacher. I asked her why "monster child" and she said that it was a "term of endearment". WTF!!! Those English teacher's and there crazy vocabulary and metaphors.
It's pretty much official, I hate DTS (day-light savings time) when I was younger I didn't really care but now I just hate it. It's already been two days into it and I still feel tired. Sure, it's nice to have one extra hour of daylight in the evening, but those mornings are just a total BITCH! Oh well!
